Virginia is the Color Guard Instructor for the Thomas Dale Marching Knights, now entering her third season with the program. A graduate of Virginia Tech, she was a member of the Marching Virginians flag corps, serving on leadership for three years and as head captain during her junior and senior seasons. While at Tech, she also founded ValianT Indoor Guard, serving as student director for two years and continuing as a consultant for another year.

Virginia began her coaching career in Roanoke, VA, working with Northside High School for four years before relocating to Richmond. She currently teaches Latin at Tomahawk Creek Middle School and brings a deep passion for both teaching and performance to her work with the guard.

In a meaningful full-circle moment, Virginia now works alongside Band Director Sarah Ramsey—who taught her during Sarah’s student teaching and helped inspire her own journey as an educator.
